It probably isn't so "grand" after all, but I did take down the closed sign here at the LIttle Yarn Shoppe, and there is definitely some knitting going on. Remember Emma's Shawl? It's almost finished. I only have to graft the two ends of the lace edging together, block it, and send it on it's way. I'll get you involved in the grafting and blocking, for sure. I'm not a dedicated grafter, so there will have to be some practice.
Then, there is this:
It's the center panel of Sharon Miller's "Rosebud" design. I'd wanted to knit it for awhile, and started it awhile back, before the Great Ordeal. I've almost finished it -- in fact, I'll finish it tonight -- and the picking up of stitches for the borders will begin. The color isn't very true in the photo, which has a coral tinge. It is yellow, and I think of it as "The Yellow Rosebud of Texas," with all due apologies to Mrs. Miller. I've no idea if it is a gift, or if it's for me. Time will tell.
The yarn is Jamieson & Smith cobweb, in the only yellow shade.
I've rested after the Great Courtroom Ordeal. It was definitely worth it, since we won, but it was tiring. I was actually too tired to knit for a couple of days. I have to be awfully tired, for that to occur. We'll have at least one prize give-away this week, and we'll be looking forward to the kick-off of the KBTH Lace Extravaganza, with more information on that, coming up. So stop by again, soon.
Good knitting,
MEM
So glad to see you back, MEM.

Wondeful that you are back - and that you won! And don't you think you deserve a beautiful 'Yellow Rosebud of Texas' as a treat/reward?

Just wonderful to see your update! Glad to hear you won your case, but also that you've been knitting.
I am looking forward to seeing any shawl tips you care to discuss.
