Here we are, cozy as can be, at the LYOS, looking at a finished back to the baby Aran sweater, Innisfree. I'm very pleased with it, and the color will be just right with our little guy's beautiful blue eyes. I've cast on for the sleeves, and will knit them next. I've put the live stitches from the back on holders, and I'll just do a 3-needle bind-off when I'm ready to join the shoulders. That's my favorite way to do shoulders.
Wendy J gets an expense paid trip to "Sleeve Island," usually, and for me, it can be "sleeve solitary." I'll just go ahead and do them so that sleeve fatigue doesn't set in. I don't hate sleeves, I just can't learn to like them very much.
So Ann and Janice can knit on their exercise bikes, huh? Maybe I should give that another shot. Maybe it would just work for a little hat or sockie, or something. Hmmm...
Good knitting,
MEM

I've been thinking a recumbent bike would be just the ticket. I'd get to do something I LOVE - knitting YAY - while also just getting the exercise over with.
It's gotten very cool over here in LA but Saturday was beautiful. Unfortunately we had some voting going on and I was trapped inside all day. :-(

What Janice said! Garter stitch sqaures, beanies, booties. Anything to make both less tedious!
And I'll bet you've tried this, but in case you haven't, I usually do sleeves first and get them out of the way. This is an especially helpful trick when the sleeves and body are put together and the yoke is then knitted in the round.
Just a thought.

Knitting on the exercise bike is one of the few things that makes the exercise bearable! :-)
